Received this set a few weeks ago, and experienced, for the first time, the 'lip-sync' problem. I have two set-top boxes and a HD recorder with Freeview, and none of these have the problem, but with the 19LG3000 I found it simply unwatchable. The sound was so far in advance of the picture that it was painful. I Googled for similar reviews and found a chap in the US complainig of the same problem. I contacted LG who said it must be a fault with the individual unit, but a problem such as this is, to my mind, a function of the design and not an isolated problem.
I have since (today) received a replacement in the form of the 19LH2000, and this set does not appear to have the problem; but early days. The 2000 is a newer, 16:9 format, so arguably a better buy, although it has a lower contrast ratio and packs fewer pixels into its 19 inches. Nevertheless, if you are remotely tempted by the 3000 I would say keep you money in your wallet, or put it into something like the 2000. |
